CENECO Power Rates Down by 10 Cents this Month
From Php 9.25/kWhr last December 2011, Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) announces its new residential average rate for the month of January 2012 of Php 9.15/kWhr inclusive of the 12% Value Added Tax (VAT).
The decrease of 10 centavos from the previous power rate was due to the decrease in the Generation System Charge of 0.0644, decrease in the Transmission System Charge of 0.0668, decrease in the Systems Loss Charge of 0.0091, increase on the Lifeline Rate Subsidy of 0.0074, and an increase in the Mandatory Rate Reduction of 0.0026.
The major causes of the decline of rates for the energy consumed for this month are the Generation System Charge of P0.0644 and the Transmission System Charge of P0.0668.
From last month’s total increase on charges of 0.1261 and total increase on EVAT of 0.0182, this month, the total decrease on charges lowered to 0.1303 while the total increase on EVAT rose to 0.0081.
Residential consumers with consumption of less than 80 kWh will have a basic rate of 8.1244 while those with consumption of more than 80 kWh will have a basic rate of 8.3094.
CENECO still remains to have the lowest power rates in the whole of Western Visayas region.
Since CENECO is just a power distributor and has the obligation to pay its power suppliers, the electricity consumers are reminded to pay their electricity bills on time to avoid disconnection.*(The Management)
