Bacolod Jaycees Hold Leadership Assembly and Selection of THOS Finalists
Bacolod Jaycees president Martha Isiderio announced recently that their club held a Leadership Assembly and Selection of THOS Finalists over the weekend at the Eastview Hotel in Bacolod City.

Chairpersons were: Mhel Sillador and Queenelene Lim, respectively, who coordinated both activities.
The day-long activities were attended by eleven finalists in the High School Category together with some parents and school advisers.
The Leadership Assembly was highlighted by educational talks by three speakers, namely, Atty. Juliana B. Carbon, general manager of BACIWA; Claire Ginete Ilon, general manager of GCI EXCEL, which is engaged in the management of events, TV production and Marketing, and, Emily Go Villanueva, a Bacolod City businesswoman. All three discussed the various types of virtues of leadership as keys to success in our society.
The afternoon event was climaxed with the selection of top three THOS awardees in the high school and college categories.
The panel of judges were: Rafael Golez, Richard Gauzon, Dr. Reynold Wong, Hon. Barbara Tolentino, Atty. Jocelle Batapa, Cheche Londres, and, Emily Go Villanueva.

Btths, Dongon, Ydsan Franz P. of the Negros Occidental Science High School; Duayan, Pamela Rose M. of the West Negros University;IS; Ortiz, Rey Lucky Brite S. of the Negros Occidental High School; Martin, Anne Therese Marie B. of St. Scholastica’s Academy of Bacolod; Flores, Arnel P. of the Mansilingan Agro-Industrial High School; Cordova, Camille G. of St. Joseph’s School-La Salle of Bacolod City; Lim, Crishel C. of the Fellowship Baptist College and tied for tenth place were: Polvora, Mark Alfred T. of USLS-Bacolod and Te, Veronica R. of St. John Institute.

The THOS AWARDING CEREMONIES will be held on February 4, 2012 which will be held at the SM Activity Center in Bacolod City.
Atty. Pacifico Maghari, Jr., former Western Visayas Vice President, stated that this laudable project is now on its 44th year.
He added that while previous THOS participants were only limited to Bacolod City schools, this year the club included the high schools and college-universities throughout the province of Negros Occidental.*
