Local News: 13 PCOs, 180 PNCOs Promoted to the Next Higher Rank in Negros Occidental
Effective January 31, 2012, a total of 193 police officers assigned with the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) were promoted to the next higher rank as part of the regular promotion of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
According to Police Chief Inspector Rico Santotome Jr., chief of NOPPO’s Police Community Relations Branch, 13 of those promoted are commissioned officers while the other 180 PNP members were non-commissioned officers.
A simple ceremonial pinning of ranks last Friday afternoon was held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano attended by those promoted as well as their respective loved ones and NOPPO personnel led by Police Senior Supt. Allan Guisihan, PNP provincial director who was represented by Police Senior Supt. Remus Canieso (DPDO), added Santotome.
Among those who were promoted were 35 NOPPO personnel whose ranks were upgraded to that of a Police Officer 2, 47 PO3s, 57 Senior Police Officers, six SPO2s, 28 SPO3s and seven SPO4s. La Carlota City PNP chief, Police Chief Insp. Eduardo Corpuz (PNPA ’97) was the highest officer promoted to the next higher rank (major) while 12 others were promoted to the rank of Police Senior Insp. (captain).
The newly promoted Senior Insp. are Allan Reloj (La Castellana PNP), Albert Sy
(Binalbagan PNP), Romeo Vargas (Candoni PNP), Hector Balbon (San Enrique PNP),
Lowell Garinganao (Hinoba-an PNP), Jason Mangilimutan (Isabela PNP), Ruben
Pajarito, Sherlock Gabana, Clifford Batadhay, John Ganzon, Anthony Grande and
Jesus Mesahon (Silay PNP).
Guisihan lauded the newly promoted NOPPO personnel for their deserving promotion
to the next rank said Santotome.*
