Business: Cebu Pacific Increases Bacolod Seat Capacity
Cebu Pacific reaffirms its dominance in the domestic air travel by increasing
its seat capacity in Bacolod.
Starting this month, routes from Cebu to Bacolod, as well as to Cagayan de Oro,
General Santos, and Iloilo will use Airbus A319 and A320 aircrafts, Michelle Eve
De Guzman, assistant manager for Corporate Communications of Cebu Pacific, said
yesterday.
The Airbus A320 has 180 seats, while the A319 has 156 seats, making them larger
than the ATR aircrafts which used to ply Bacolod routes, she said in her
presentation.
But Cebu Pacific still flies seven times weekly to Bacolod, with five flights to
and from Manila and two flights to and from Cebu, she said.
Staring February 8, the airline will increase to four times weekly flights from
Iloilo to Cagayan de Oro and vice versa, she said.
Cebu Pacific is currently the largest aircraft fleet in the Philippines, with 20
Airbus A320, 10 Airbus A319, and eight ATR, she said.*
