Local News: Bagoeño Arrested for Illegal Discharge of Gun

A resident of Bago City was apprehended by local police authorities during its intensified campaign against persons with warrant of arrest, Tuesday morning.

Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) reports revealed that Carlito Dinanoy, 56, of Brgy. Atipuluan was collared by PO2 Glenn Bolaoro and PO2 Rowell Peniero at about 10AM, January 7, 2012.

Dinanoy’s arrest was effected through a warrant issued by Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC)-Bago City Judge Herminigildo Octaviano for the crime of illegal discharge of firearms with less serious physical injuries.

A bail bond amounting to P10,000 was recommended for the suspect’s temporary release. Dinanoy is presently detained at Bago City Police Station.

Meanwhile, Rene Juaniza, 26, of Brgy. Dos Hermanas, Talisay City was nabbed by SPO1 Renzie Lambayong and PO1 Richard Villan for violation of Republic Act (RA) 8294 or illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions.

He was nabbed early Tuesday morning while police officers are conducting patrol in the area.

Recovered from him were; a unit of .357 caliber pistol with serial number 18340 with live ammunition and one apple grenade.

Juaniza is detained while investigation is underway. He will face possible criminal charges in court.*
