Sports: 75 Teams to Join Mayor Doc Eric 7-Aside Football Festival

Seventy five (75) teams are set to participate in the five (5) categories in the four-day of the Mayor Doc Eric 7 – Aside City Football Festival which opens yesterday, February 9 to 10, 2012 and Mayor Doc Eric National Football Festival on Saturday and Sunday, February 11 to 12, 2012.

Simultaneously hold in two venues; the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) and Talisay Football pitch, these tournaments is in connection with the celebration of Talisay City 14th Charter Day Anniversary.

The teams are the following: for 10-Under are; Gamboa , Busay A, Busay B, Busay C, Barangay Concepcion, Mapalaron A, Mapalaron B, Pugad B, Matab-ang, Zone 9, Trangka, Dos Hermanas, Carlos Hilado memorial State College (CHMSC) and Malunsi.
For the Under-13 are; Matab-ang, Malunsi, Rosal A, Trangaka A, Menlo 4, Pacel, Pilipin

Baybay, Barangay Concepcion,Gareta, Litos, Busay, San Esteban, Notre Dame, Rizal A, Dos Hermanas, Barangay. Concepcion B, Rosal B, Rizal B, Zone 4-a, Zone 9, Mapalaron A, Mapalaron B, Panton, Menlo, Manpower, Zone 2, Gamboa, Zone 9 -B, Rawnan and Pilipina Bukid.

In the Under-15 are; Gamboa, Talisay Ladies, Pacel, Trangka, Pacel, Barangay Concepcion, Jose Maria, Zone 3, Dos Hermanas, Rizal, Pilipina Baybay, Panton, Bat-os, Pilipina Bukid, Triad, Rosal Zone 4-A, Alusiman, Matab-ang, Carmela, Notre Dame, Malunsi and Zone 4 –A.

Seven teams registered in Under-18 are; Zone 2, Zone 3, Trangka, Matab-ang, Panton, Carmela and Barangay Concepcion Twelve teams are joining the Men’s Open; Zone 2 A, Zone 2 B, Zone 2 C, Trangka, Matab-ang, 38 Boys, Panton A, Panton B, Zone 4 A, Barangay Concepcion, Carmela and Central.

Tournament commissioner,Warren Concepcion, said that the matches will be played in 12 football fields, 6 each at CHMSC and Talisay pitches.

He added, on Saturday and Sunday, more than 250 teams are set to join the national level of football festival coming from Cebu, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental and Iloilo.

The tournament is organized by Minulu-an Talisay Football Club headed by Mr. Rafael T. Lizares Jr.*

Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) in the Locale of Tangub and other locales in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, are inviting the public to their ‘Pamamahayag’, during which they will present the teachings and doctrines of the INC.
