Strategy vs. teamwork.

This is how the game is expected when two undefeated squads, the Dynamic Builders FC and Real Negrense FC, battle for solo leadership in the ongoing 2011 North Football League this Sunday, Feb. 12 at the Ayala North Point pitch in Talisay City.

Both teams carry a 2-0 win-loss card, after beating their respective rivals last weekend.

Dynamic Builders FC, a runner-up last season, came off a 2-nil win over the defending champion Ceres FC last Sunday while Real FC outplayed Las Buenas FC, 3-1.

“It’s going to be a hard game. Real Negrense is a club team, thus they knew each other very well. But we are prepared. We have our strategy for each of our opponents. We will try to capitalize on their weak points while we use our strong points. It’s all about strategy and system. We will adjust our game plan according to our opponent,” said Dynamic Builders FC team captain Ali Rojas Go.

Dynamic FC is expected to run the pitch and attack the opponent’s defense with their deadly arsenals led by Go and the 3-Js (Jaime Poderoso, Jason Panhay and John Carmona). Go was last season’s “best striker” awardee with 18 goals while Poderoso was the “best striker” awardee during the recent 1st Negros First Men’s Open Football Championships 2011 with 16 goals.

Panhay, who was last season’s “most valuable player”, is most-likely to come out with a surprising performance after a scoreless game against Ceres FC while Carmona playing as an attacking midfield.
On the other hand, Real Negrense FC will surely step on the pitch well-prepared.

This team is composed of a mixed veteran and young talents capable of breaking the opponent’s defense anytime and scores a goal.

“We expect a tough game on Sunday but we will just play our game. We will have to be tighter on defense as well as have balance and composure in our offense,” stressed Real Negrense team manager and skipper Luis Willian Clauor. The veteran Clauor along with his son Luis Christian, Winston Valencia and Paul Espinosa are the players expected to bring surprises on the pitch.

Also, anticipated to make some unexpected performance are Carlo Torbela and William Flores.

Meanwhile, aside from these said scorers of both squads, also up to the challenge are their respective keepers. Dynamic FC goalie Robert Mendoza has an excellent performance so far in the league by not giving any goal to the opponent while Real’s Luigi Magallanes has only allowed 4 goals in two outings.

In other scheduled match, Ceres FC will meet Trimax-Agro FC in Sunday’s opening match. Both squads had 1 win and a loss in their respective records. Ceres came off a 2-nil loss against Dynamic FC while Trimaxi coming from a 6-3 win over Talisay-Minuluan FC.

Also scheduled to play in the second game are Talisay-Minuluan FC and Las Buenas FC.

Both teams still hunt for their first win in this elimination round.* (with reports from SCOOP-Bacolod)
