Local News: Pots, Shabu Seized in Raids
Several suspected marijuana cigarettes and shabu were confiscated in a raid conducted separately in the Cities of San Carlos, Talisay and Victorias last Thursday resulting to the apprehension of suspects.
Over in San Carlos City, PSupt. Harold Tuzon led the raid at Phase III, Block 4, Fatima Village, Brgy. Rizal that resulted to the arrest of Carlito Purisima alias Lito for alleged violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police report said that seven pieces of match box containing suspected marijuana dried fruiting tops, one piece match box containing 7 rolled marijuana cigarettes, marijuana dried leaves wrapped in a banana leaf, 50 pieces rolled marijuana cigarettes, cigarette rolling papers and other illegal drug paraphernalia.
The operation was effected through a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 57 Judge Danilo Amisola.
Meanwhile, another person was nabbed at Bonifacio St., Zone 4-A, Talisay City by local police authorities led by SPO1 Daniel Nagpaton.
Ronnie Villanueva, 30, of Purok Water Lily, Brgy. Zone 10 was collared for alleged violation of RA 9165.
Four pieces of suspected marijuana cigarette sticks were recovered from Villanueva’s possession.
Lastly, a small sachet containing suspected shabu was recovered from a grassy portion along Purok Ajinomoto, Brgy. 9, Victorias City allegedly thrown by Jofer Arucan in front of the house of a suspected pusher.
Also recovered from Arucan was P95.00 cash.
All suspects are detained, while criminal charges are being prepared to be filed against them.* (RRM)
