“We made History “, JAMSTEPS World Record of 87,701 people participation.”

Children are the living heroes of today. These were among the declarations by enthusiastic participants mostly students from different colleges, universities, high schools, and elementary, including their parents, teachers, school heads, principals, supervisors, school superintendents, businessmen, professionals, the academe, religious, NGOs, POs, PNPs, AFP... ... Bureau of Fire Protection, Amity and Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade, Red Cross, Ambulance Doctors and Nurses, First Aiders, Traffic Enforcers, Rescue Groups, PARAC, Negros Kali International Assn Inc., drivers, conductors, ambulant vendors, streetchildren and out-of school youths, Those from the Cities of Silay-Talisay and Bago, also joined the first fantastic, historical simple dance aerobic exercises for a healthy life style. Apparently, the early morning rai has not dampened the spirit of JAMSTEP participants.

Political detractors with their political interest, propagandist, jealousy, sabotage, maneuvers and tactics having bombarded prompted by some media outlets left and right, and even scolding and warning employees and department heads showing their greed for power were no match to the surging crowd that shopwed up to join the dance exercise.

JAMSTEP is in line with Congressman Anthony Golez Jr.’s -Lone District of Bacolod City whose advocacy of “HOPE” for a Better Bacolod has prevailed. “H”- in the acronym stands for “Health”. Saves Lives through Healthy Lifestyle is his utmost priority. The activity will become a permanent institution and by the month of July this year, it will be promoted all over the country called “ JAMSTEPS Philippines” .
The Launching will be spearheaded by President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III. He lauded and gave thanks to all the participants in making it to the JAMSTEPS in the world records The Launching rites turned out to be a great success.

Bacolod City Disaster Relief Preparedness Center will be born because of the children’s enthusiasm. ‘Jam-steps is in honor of our children, the future of our country, the Bacolod solon indicated.*
