Sports: Phl Autocross Series Dusts Off Sunday
The heat will be brought off the road on Sunday, March 25 as the 2012 Philippine
Autocross Championship Series – Carl Lopez Cup dusts off at the Bacolod City
Government Center.
Local coordinator Arthur “Shane” Cooper said around 20 drivers from Manila,
Cebu, and Iloilo will be coming over on the said competition. Among those
expected to drive in Bacolod includes Cooper and his son William Jordan
representing the Cooper Built Team, Circumferential Auto Sports, Pitworkz, and
individual competitors Alex Yao and Paul Ascona.
Shane Cooper stressed that aside from promoting motorsports, the main goal of this event is to bring the race on the controlled area. And this would educate Bacoleños about road safety, he added.
Meanwhile, the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office has been tapped to ensure the crowd control during the competition.* (JGToga with reports from SCOOP-Bacolod)
