Dr. Emmanuel M. Santiaguel-Chairman of the Cooperative Development Authority (CIDA) in his inspirational message said " NOCECO will be an "Outstanding Electric Cooperative" in the country, not only as a model in the near future considering the support and cooperation of its member-consumers. Time will come it will surpass PALECO ( Palawan Electric Cooperative) as a model Electric Cooperative in the Philippines." There are 3 key factors of success: 1. You must have a responsible membership, one that knows how to pay his electric bills, and with its enlightened members to attend activities of the electric cooperative like the AGMA. 2. Dedicated and Effective Officers- as policy makers. 3. Management must be trained with honesty and efficiency." Dr. Santiaguel added," The main purpose of the electric cooperative is to make a big contribution to the country’s economy. Members own the electric cooperative ( a consumer-owned enterprise) where one will receive a dividend, patronage refund and service to everyone. The year 2012 in the United Nations General Assembly is the International Year of Cooperative" with the theme: Transformative Cooperative, People, Planet, Peace and Prosperity."
He also lauded NOCECO’s performance . Total Assets reached P1.188 billion during the year end from last year’s P1.140 billion with a cash balance of P72.2 million from P68.6 million in 2010 as reported by Board Treasurer, Uldarico Ariel P.Mirasol."
