Sports: Fuentes Lines Blanks Talisay; Captures 1st Silay Softball Title

The unbeaten Fuentes Lines squad of Bacolod City blanked Talisay City Softball Team, 7-0, last Sunday and declared as the 1st Silay Softball Invitational Tournament champion which was held in Hacienda Lonoy Ball Park, Silay City.

Fuentes Lines sweeped all its matches in the elimination round and continued the momentum in the "page system championship", including the 5-2 victory over Talisay last Sunday morning.

After losing to Fuentes Lines, Talisay won over the home-team of Lonoy Diamonds, 3-0, en route to the finals.

The host-Silay finished third runner-up after a 7-0 setback against the Lonoy Diamonds in the other "page system championship" that Sunday morning.

Silay City Mayor Jose "Oti" Montelibano did the honors of handing over the trophies, medals and other awards to the winners of the tournament.

Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) in the Locale of Tangub and other locales in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, are inviting the public to their ‘Pamamahayag’, during which they will present the teachings and doctrines of the INC.
