Sports: Minuluan-Talisay Romps Off With Many Titles in PFF Summer Football Caravan
Minuluan-Talisay Football Club won majority of the titles at stake in the 2-day Philippine Football Federation Summer Football Caravan held at two separate venues in Talisay City last Wednesday and Thursday.
They won the titles in 16 Under Girls’ category, 10-Under category, 14-Under, 18-Under, and Ladies Open
Don Bosco Technical Institute of Victorias City took to titles in the 12-Under and 16-Under boys’, while St. John’s Institute won the 8-Under category.
Meanwhile, Rizal Football Club placed 1st runner-up in 16-Under out of 5 teams participating; SJI in the 10-Under out of 12 teams; Westbridge-A out of 12 teams participating; Barangay Concepcion in the 18-Under with six teams participating; and Rizal FC in the Ladies Open with 4 teams joining the tournament.
Coming next to BTI in the 12-Under is St. John’s Institute out of 14 teams participating; and Southbridge in the 126-Under boys’ joined by 6 teams in the category, while Minuluan-Talisay was 12st runner-up in the 8-Under category won by St. John’s Institute with six teams participating.
The 2-day PFF Summer Football caravan is in partnership with the Talisay and Minulu-an Talisay City Football Club headed by Mr. Rafael "Junie" Lizares who bankrolled the event and this city’s government headed by mayor Eric Saratan.
The events were held simultaneously at Carlos Hilado Memorial State College and Talisay City football fields.*
