Local news: Missing Pieces in Police Asset’s Killing Being Determined by Police

The main suspect in the killing of a provincial police asset about two weeks ago, has denied involvement in his killing saying that after they agreed to separate, all had been well with both of them, with material possessions they earlier saved together equally divided between both of them.

And the main suspect, Cecille Herbolario Tahum, said she was willing to submit herself to an investigation by the police anytime, anyplace and anywhere. Joy Tahum, the victim, Noli Carcueva’s present live-in partner said, it was the second live-in partner, Cecile Herbolario Tahum, he was meeting.

The victim, Noli Carcueva, a former asset of the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO), which organized the Negros Occidental Anti-Organized Crime Group (NOACG) was shot and killed while waiting on board his motorcycle just across the north wing of the SM Megamall in the Reclamation area.

Herbolario-Tahum when interviewed by Aksyon Radyo over the weekend denied involvement in Carcueva’s killing saying she even wanted to see him before burial but to avoid complications, decided not to.

Cecille Tahum, said she was not guilty of having Carcueva killed and explained that their separation was mutually agreed upon by both of them with the material possessions, which they had previously bought equally divided between them. Their parting was amicable, she added.

Earlier, Bacolod Police Chief, Sr. Supt. Ricardo de la Paz said he was interested in talking to Hebolario-Tahum.

This is in connection he said, of her possible involvement in the rubbing out of Carcueva, he added.

It is possible that Carcueva’s death was not exactly a love triangle as earlier bruited about. There have been, he said, a few persons linked to Carcueva and which he would like to check.

Sources said more than two weeks ago, the police have received reports that there was a near-shoutout between Carcueva and a man who was not identified.

They are trying to piece together the missing pieces especially the angle related to the killing of Carcueva in this case, added de la Paz.*
