Two men in Negros Occidental who are wanted for attempted homicide and robbery were arrested in separate police operations over the weekend.

Over Calatrava town, police apprehended Peter Palay, 26, of Brgy. Bantayanon for the crime of attempted homicide.

Palay’s arrest was effected by PInsp. Ramel T. Sarona along with the elements of Caltrava Police Station through a warrant in criminal case number 6250-C issued on January 30, 2008 by Judge Franklin M. Cobol, acting presiding judge of Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Calatrava-Toboso.

A bail amounting to P12,000 was recommended for his temporary release.

Meanwhile, another wanted person was collared in Talisay City for robbery at Libra Mart, Zone 4, in the City.

Local police authorities nabbed Gary Ditchon alias Angoy, 20, led by PO3 Ferserdo B. Villaflor through an arrest warrant in criminal case number 11-34467 for the crime of robbery issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 44 Judge Franklin J. Demonteverde on January 5, 2012.

Both arrested men are presently detained for failure to post bail. They will be turned over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility.*
