All Bacolod resorts, hotels, tourist inns, motels, apartels, pension houses and other accommodation establishments must strictly observe the rules

pertaining to lifeguard and security, medical services and precautionary measures.

The Bacolod City Tourism Office through the Office of the City Mayor shall be tasked to implement this resolution authored by Councilor Em Ang was approved by the PS in the recent session.

In this particular time of the year, many tourists and local residents flock to resorts and other recreational establishments.

Several resorts in the city provide recreational services to tourists and local residents such as beach bathing, swimming pools and other amenities that require safety and security measures as well as the observance of precautionary measures to prevent incidents of drowning and other impending dangers;

To immediately attend to major and minor accidents which may occur within the premises of the resort, medical services and medicines should be made available;

Efficient management and operation must be observed by resorts and other recreational establishments in Bacolod City to ensure the welfare of tourists and local residents and to make Bacolod City a tourist-friendly tourist destination.

Councilor Ang resolved that the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod City should urge the City Tourism Office, through the Office of the City Mayor, to require all resorts in Bacolod City to Strictly Observe the General Rules on the Operation and Management of Resorts, Hotels, Tourist Inns, Motels, Apartels, Pension Houses and other Accommodation Establishments Specifically Pertaining to: Lifeguard and Security, Medical Services and Precautionary Measures.*
