"Driftwood" is very symbolic. It is a dead wood in a forest or a wood floating on water or washed ashore. There are dead woods in a forest which continue to stand and it served as habitat for various living organisms and survival. At mid sea, it is a haven for the long distance traveling birds.
Even if it is dead, driftwoods serve the ecological balance of the sea, lakes, streams, rivers or a forest – a symbol which Driftwood Spa was conceived.
Thus, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Evaluator, Department of Health (DOH) licensed and Driftwood proprietor Rene Rivera said that for this year, the symbolic driftwood is translated the symbolic Heart; the symbol of life in driftwood becomes a symbol inspiration, the heart, in serving.
The goal is and will always be service, Rene Rivera said, Driftwood spa for the past four years of uninterrupted operation serves all drifters, "Straight from the heart", a he hummed a song, "You know that Driftwood Spa will never go away…for as long as you know, it is all coming straight from the heart…"
