Events: Miss World PHL Goes to SM City
The next Philippine representative to the Miss World pageant could be from Negros Occidental!
TV5 brings the regional screening of Miss World to the City of Smiles this May 30, 2012 with venue at SM City Bacolod. The Kapatid Network is the official media partner of Miss World Philippines.
From 10AM - 1PM on May 30, interested participants can seal their intent to join the prestigious pageant by registering at the Event Centre located at the north wing of SM City Bacolod. Interested contestants who meet the requirements shall be briefed and allowed preparation time. Starting 1PM on the same date, contestants shall have their onstage screening for casual wear and evening gown, including a question-and-answer round. TV5 shall cap the pageant screening with a mall show of exciting games, prizes and musical performances in Sugod Mga Kapatid (SMK). SMK is the Kapatid station’s campaign to promote TV5’s programs and artists, giving audiences a taste of what the Happy Network is all about. The SMK’s Bacolod leg will center around the Miss World competition.
The Miss World competition is open to all single females, 17-24 years old and at least 5’4" in height. Interested ladies should bring a photocopy of her passport or NSO Birth Certificate and 5R colored photographs in close-up and full length view. Also, candidates must bring a valid ID, casual clothes and long gowns. Official Contestant Entry Forms shall be available on registration day at SM City Bacolod.
Miss World was established in 1951 and is the longest running pageant in the world. Miss World 2012 is slated on August 16 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.*
