The closing ceremonies of the Centennial Celebration of Lasallian Presence in the Philippines at the University of St. La Salle will be highlighted by a Human Star formation at 4:30pm on June 15.

The star formation at the USLS football field is expected to gather 2000 participants composed of administrators, students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Prior to the Human Lasallian star formation, a Eucharistic celebration will be held in the morning at the St. La Salle Coliseum.

Other La Salle schools in the country are also to organize their own version of the Human Lasallian Star.

It was in 1911 when the La Salle Brothers arrived in Manila to establish the first Lasallian school in the Philippines. The University of St. La Salle was founded in 1952.

This July 2012, USLS will celebrate its 60th year with the theme, "Transforming Lives. Building Communities. Shaping Futures."

In line with this celebration, Br. Alvaro Rodriguez Echeverria FSC, Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, is scheduled to visit USLS and St. Joseph School - La Salle on June 17-18.*
