Local News: Man Robs and Kills Widow Inside Her Home
A 39-year old woman was robbed and killed inside her own home in Hinigaran about 2AM, Monday while sleeping with her daughters.
Local police officers said, Ma. Theresa Vinco, 39, widow, of Brgy. Paticui, Hinigaran succumbed to multiple stab wounds in the body inflicted by unidentified person who entered the house while the family was sleeping.
Investigation revealed that Vinco was with her two daughters when the incident took place.
She saw the attacker making his entrance and shouted for help but was consequently stabbed by the suspect hitting her on different parts of her body resulting to her death.
Police probers are still conducting follow-up investigation to identify the suspect and determine the items stolen from the victim.
Meanwhile, another robbery incident took place in Kabankalan City stealing about P85, 000 from two establishments.
Reports revealed that the suspects entered Living Stone Lending Corporation and Asset Credit Corporation located at NZ Arcade Building, along Repullo St., Brgy. 2 and stole P50, 000 and P35, 000, respectively, from the two offices.
The suspects allegedly gained entrance by breaking the glass door of the establishments and searched for the place where the cash was kept.
