Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) has completed its preparation for the Christmas and New Year celebrations in terms of peace and order in the province.

PCInsp. Rico Santotome Jr, NOPPO’s police community relations officer reported that the entire members of the PNP in Negros Occidental has been tasked to secure all malls, terminals, churches, plazas and other places of convergence especially on December 16, which is the start of the traditional “Simbang Gabi”.

Vital installation points will also be monitored and secured in anticipation of the December 26 anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) including the conduct of round-the-clock checkpoint operations as well as police visibility patrols in airports, seaports and terminals, Santotome added.

Moreover, PSSupt. Allan Guisihan, NOPPO director will likewise conduct inspection of firecracker stalls to check if dealers conformed to safety precautions in order to prevent accidents and injuries.

NOPPO will similarly intensify its campaign against gun replicas and “bogas” usually utilized by the criminal elements to carry out their activities.* (RRM)

Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) in the Locale of Tangub and other locales in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, are inviting the public to their ‘Pamamahayag’, during which they will present the teachings and doctrines of the INC. The Pamamahayag will be held at 7PM on Monday January 9 and on Tuesday 10 at the Tangub chapel and in other locale chapels. Those interested to listen can just come and be guests.
