BCPO Bares Anti -Crime Performances
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) through its Investigation and Detective Management Unit recorded an increase in Crime Clearance Efficiency
(CCE) and Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) rating for the first semester of this year (2015) compared to the first semester of the previous year, 2014.
The CCE rating of first semester 2014 is only 27.25% while the CCE rating of first semester 2015 is 64.84%. It increased by 37.59%. The
CSE rating of first semester 2014 is only 17.78% while the CSE rating of first semester 2015 is 61.78%. The CSE increased by 44%.
Police Senior Superintendent Melchor Balinas Coronel, Officer-in-Charge of BCPO said, the drastic increase in the Crime Clearance Efficiency and Crime Solution Efficiency rating are due to BCPO’s full implementation of Oplan Lambat-Sibat.
Oplan Lambat-Sibat is a breakthrough in crime fighting and on its continuous data and analytic-driven strategy to better address peace
and order concerns, while identifying the root of the serious crimes.
BCPO registered impressive results in police operations especially in the campaign against illegal drugs.
Police operatives conducted 99 positive operations and neutralized 137 drug personalities for the period of January to July 2015.
The continuous analysis of crimes through crime plotting is to determine crime hotspots and provide appropriate police action as an
added factor in the increase of CCE and CSE and the conduct of random and strategic checkpoints by all police precincts and the Bacolod City Public Safety Company.
There is continuous deployment of PNP personnel in the streets and in vital installations and places where people converge to prevent street
crimes and provide public order to the community.
“I encourage all personnel of BCPO to continue to work hand-in-hand with our community to attain our mission. Let us render our dutywith honesty and sincerity,“ Coronel said.* (W/ reports from PO1 Cosio)
