GAD Council Orients Brgy Officials on Budget Preparations
The city Gender and Development Council (GAD) presided by Councilor Sonya M. Verdeflor gave an orientation for the local barangay officials on costing and allocation relative to the preparation of their respective barangay GAD budget for fiscal year 2016.

In their 3rd Quarter Meeting held recently at the MassKara Hall 1 of the People’s House, the barangay officials were advised to submit for review and approval their 2016 proposed barangay GAD budget by end of September this year.
City Budget Officer IV Jullen Patriarca enumerated a list of gender-related projects which could be attributed to the GAD budget like poverty, anti-VAW, HIV-AIDS, sexual harassment, assistance to teachers and students and reproductive health, among others.
Verdeflor likewise suggested the review of GAD-related laws and Republic Acts so they will be guided appropriately in their budget preparations.* (CMO-PIO)
