Nissan Bows Out in Fil-Sino Class B

Nissan Bacolod loses its two remaining games and bowed out in contention in Class B division of the Fil-Sino Inter-Color Basketball tournament at Po Hang Gym.

Nissan Bacolod lost to Robles Dental Clinic, 84-62 Monday then to topseed 888 Premier, 84-56 Wednesday.

Robles dominated Nissan in all quarters to assure themselves of a semifinals slot.

Robles was led by the trio of RJ Iligan, brothers Keith and Ken Banzon with 10 points apiece; Roderick De Los Santos 8; Deonyson Dy added 7 and Richard Tan with 6.

Joel Masadia sizzled with 27 points but not enough to lift Nissan; Chipeng Uy made 10, Simon Tan drilled 6, Siopao Dichavez had 5, while

Beejay Paredes and Kevin Hinolan had 4 each.

888 Premier notched the top spot and a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals after winning against Nissan.

Reserve Brent Chan paced 888 Premier with 24; Edward Uy added 17, Jeffrey Lee 16, Ramon Sy 10, Brian Ong and Joshua Lao 6.

Nissan was led by Kerwin Guillon with 14; Andre Tan 12; Alan Su 11 and Simon Tan 10.
