PCL Coop Training Starts Today
The national officers of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) is currently sitting for a two-day cooperative training on Basic Cooperative Course that starts today until tomorrow, August 19, 2015 at the Negros First Cyber Center.
The training is in compliance with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) requirement for local and national cooperatives pursuant to Republic Act 6939 or the “Cooperative Development Authority Law.”
The basic training program is a prelude for the upcoming 2nd PCL Cooperative National Summit and General Assembly on August 20-22, 2015, to be held at the SMX Convention Center. Thousands of member-delegates from different cities and municipalities in the country is expected to participate in the summit.
Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr. will welcome the participants and lead in the opening day program to be highlighted by a presentation and group dynamic exercises, film showing on the different aspects of cooperatives and an open forum.
While on the second day, the training will focus on strategic planning and plans, programs and policies of a cooperative as well as giving emphasis on salient feature of Republic Act 9520 or the “Cooperative Code of the Philippines.”
The two-day activity will be handled by the City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office (CCLDO), an accredited cooperative training provider.* (CMO-PIO)
