Police Officers Promoted
Police officers of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) were promoted recently.
In NOPPO, Police Senior Inspectors Edencio Gregorio, Manapla PNP chief; Norberto Barniso, Victorias City PNP deputy chief; Anthony Grande of Isabela PNP; Romeo Vargas of San Enrique PNP, Ariel Pico of Pontevedra PNP and Rolly Pondevilla, Escalante City PNP deputy chief were promoted to next higher rank of Police Chief Inspectors.
In BCPO, 11 police commissioned officers and 62 non-commissioned officers were promoted to the next higher ranks too.
Those who are promoted to Police Chief Inspectors are Jeffrey Attunaga, Police Station 7 Commander; Leilani Garcia, Chief CPSMU, Jerrick Filosofo, chief, CAIDSOTG; Dianne Grace Catedral, chief, WCPD/ PIO; Charles Gever, Police Station 6 Commander, Jovil Sedel, Chief, Warrant Section, Ruel Culanag, Police Station 3 Commander, Benedicto Villarias Jr., Deputy Company Commander, BCPSC; Joeffer Cabural, Chief Administrative Section and Sherlock Gabana, Platoon Leader, BCPSC.
Police Inspector Wilfredo Gelongo, deputy station commander of Police Station 4 was promoted to the rank of Police Senior Inspector.
Two (2) Senior Police Officer IV were promoted to Police Inspector. They are Victor Daprinal and Joeven Lavilla. The two police inspectors will be assigned to police stations and will be designated as deputy station commanders.
The simultaneous mass oath-taking and donning of ranks were conducted during the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony at BCPO Headquarters.
According to Police Senior Superintendent Melchor Balinas Coronel, Officer-in-Charge of Bacolod City Police Office said the newly promoted personnel applied for promotion were screened by the Promotion Board and undergone Neuro-Psychiatric Examinations and drug test. They were also interviewed by the promotion board with regards to their present and past designations especially their significant accomplishments.
