SP Ratifies Bacolod-DOH Contract for ‘Health-Info System’
The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) of Bacolod City had recently ratified the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) entered into by and between the city government of Bacolod represented by Mayor Monico O. Puentevella and the Department of Health (DOH) Regional Office represented by Dr. Marlyn W. Convocar, RD lV, DOH-WV.

The MOA is relative to the implementation of the Unified Health Management Information System (UHMIS).
The UHMIS program is a unified computer-based health information system that will integrate data collection, processing, reporting and use of information to improve the delivery of basic health services, assist in the management and planning of health programs and put in place standards related to data collection and analysis, transmission, presentation, reporting and utilization.
Under said agreement, the city government is required to provide the necessary resources or budget to support the implementation of the UHMIS-LGU and the need to include the required budget in the City’s Investment Plan for Health and Annual Operation Plan.
On the other hand, City Legal Officer Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II finds the contract sufficient in form and substance and the purpose of the contract is beneficial to the city and its constituents in terms of improving the delivery of basic health services through its constituents in terms of improving the delivery of basic health services through a Unified Computer-Based Health Information System.* (CMO-PIO)
