P1.2-M ShabuSeized in Bacolod Last Night

Anti-illegal drug operatives last night seized suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P1.2 million, in a buy-bust in Purok Sibucao in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.

Initial reports ga-thered by NDB revealed that during the opera-tion, a grenade was thrown onto policemen but did not explode.
The target of the joint police operation was Ramie Acevedo Poja alias “Badong”, listed by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) as a Rank # 2 pusher.
He managed to escape during the 8 p.m. buy-bust.
Poja’s companions, whose names were not yet available as of presstime last night, were arrested.
Among items seized with suspected shabu were drug paraphernalias and a grenade.
The operation was jointly conducted by operatives of the Regional and City anti-illegal drug task forces, Bacolod City Police Station 3, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
