Class ’99, C’90, and 2000up made a good start this new year to stay on top of its respective brackets after round 3 in the ongoing 2016-17 NOHS @ 115 - NOHSAAI “Unity Cup” Bowling Fellowship bracketing finals at Negros Super Lanes.

Led by Joemar Baylon and Richard Secuelan, C’99 toppled 1,443 pin falls with a three-game score of 515-478-450. They currently lead bracket “A” with 4,388 pfs.

Ceres-La Salle Varsity Team captured the title trophy after defeating Ateneo de Manila University, 2-nil, in the just-concluded 1st Sagay Men’s Open Football Championship at the Sagay National High School Football Field on Wednesday.

The new set of officers of the Bacolod City Water district (BACIWA) has vowed to continue and support the projects and programs of the management.

According to Engr. Mario Macatangay, general manager, during the first Board meeting they affirmed that they will continue the projects and programs of the management.

Macatangay also said, they have a road network where they have established their goals for the next five years that was tackled during their corporate planning session in August last year.

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Negros Occidental is investigating reports of a death caused by the deadly meningococcemia.

Dr. Ernell Tumimbang said they are confirming the death of a 54-year old government nurse who died at a private hospital in Bacolod City Wednesday morning.

There is no date yet set for the planned investigation of the Sanggunian Panlalawigan (SP) of Negros Occidental on the entry of imported high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) into the country, Board Member Alain Gatuslao said yesterday.

Gatuslao, chair of the Committee on Laws said that he still has to talk with Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on who to invite as resource persons.

The contract of the 11 consultants of Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., has been approved for renewal by the Sanggunian Panlalawigan (SP) during their regular session Wednesday.

The SP approved the request of Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. for authority to sign the consultancy agreement between the Capitol and the 11 consultants from January 1 to December 31, this year.
