All roads leads to Panaad Park and Stadium for the upcoming match of Ceres Negros FC against the Tampines Rovers of Singapore tonight. Preparations gets intense as teams prepare for their upcoming matches to be held here in Negros.

Last week, the Ceres Negros FC campaigned for the football fans all over to support their upcoming games as they take pride in vowed to come up strong in the upcoming AFC matches here in Bacolod City.

These two teams have met several times last year, fans expect a cardiac game between them come game time.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental Saturday a suspected courier of a drug syndicate operating inside New Bilibid Prison.

LANCASTER HOTEL, Mandaluyong - Top leaders of Task Force Crusaders Against Crimes, Illegal Drugs, Corruption and Terrorism (TFC Inc.) vowed to fortify their group’s “Kabataan Iwas Droga” (KID) Project designed to come up with undertakings that will help prevent the young ones from indulging in illegal drugs.

A native of Tanjay City in Negros Oriental was nabbed with gun and bullets in Purok Isdaan, Zone 1, Barangay Cartagena, Sipalay City around 2:45 p.m. Saturday.

Sipalay City PNP Chief Inspector Romeo Vargas identified the suspect as Armando Aguilar, 46, of Barangay Sta. Cruz, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.

The arrest of Aguilar was effected after he was seen by residents with hidden firearm together with some passengers in the two vehicles that arrived in the area.

“I don’t see any criminal or administrative aspect in buying a piece of land.”

This was the stand of Provincial Legal Officer Jose Ma. Valencia on the report that the Office of the Ombudsman for the Visayas has filed criminal and administrative charges against Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. and 10 others.

Valencia said that they do not know yet what to answer as they do not have a copy of any complaint.

“We will cross the bridge when we get there,” he said, when pressed on what will be Capitol’s next move.

Three motorcycle-riding men crashed at the rear of a Fuso tanker parked in front of Distileria de Bago in Km 13.5 in Barangay Taloc, Bago City around 2:00 A.M. yesterday, Monday.

Police Superintendent David Cachumbo, Jr., Bago City PNP chief identified the victims as Lonie Benguelo, Gerard Inia, all of legal age; and his cousin Eljohn Inia, 23, all of Sitio Putat, Barangay Balingasag, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

Teams of Class ’85, ’99, and ’80 are getting ready to spearhead its respective brackets as the 2017 NOHS @ 115 - NOHSAAI “Unity Cup” Bowling Fellowship bracketing finals bowls off at Negros Super Lanes this Saturday.

In his statement, tournament director Rizal Labordo of ’92 said the classified teams will play another 5 scheduled nights to determine the highest scoring squads.

“Every team captians should review the rules and guidelines of our alumni bowling so that they will be guided accordingly,” Labordo added.

Four alleged suspects were arrested in separate drug busts in Silay and Bacolod cities.

In Silay City, Angelo Roa, 30, of Sitio Baraday in Barangay Rizal in the city was arrested by Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Enforcement Unit led by Chief Inspector Mark Anthony Darroca in coordination with Silay City PNP led by Superintendent Willy Diel.

Roa was subjected to “Oplan Tokhang” in July 2016 but still continues his illegal drug activities.

A resident of Himamaylan City was collared by arresting Himamaylan City PNP led by Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez, OIC police chief in Rizal Street, Purok 2, Barangay 4, Himamaylan City around 9:00 a.m. yesterday, Monday.

Benitez identified the suspect as Mark Phil Gutierrez Gallano, 30, “Alyas Bong-Bong”.

He was arrested after surveillance operation and return of drug operation to police authorities.

Confiscated from him were two small sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy bust item in exchange to P300 marked money.
