In Special Order 2017- 359 dated April 27, 2017, Environment Secretary Regina Paz Lopez appointed Livino Duran as officer-in-charge of DENR- NIR.

The Provincial Legal Office is investigating complaints against a security guard of IloBac Security Agency over his alleged misdeeds while on duty.

Provincial Legal Officer Jose Ma. Valencia yesterday confirmed that his office is conducting the investigation on the security guard assigned at the Provincial Food Terminal which he did not name.

We received the complaints about two weeks ago, “we are waiting for the incidence report from the Economic Enterprise Development Division which has jurisdiction over the area,” Valencia said.

A drug suspect was arrested by Cadiz City PNP operatives at Villena Street in Barangay Zone 2, Cadiz yesterday morning.

Police Chief Inspector Rocky Desear, OIC police chief of Cadiz, identified the suspect as Dalton Zabala Ignacio, 35, married of Purok Mapainubuson in Barangay Mabini, also in Cadiz.

Ignacio is the nephew of former Barangay Mabini captain.

Ignacio has just came out from a playing card game venue in Barangay Zone 2 when his contact, a police poseur-buyer contacted him and made the transaction at the place.

Another member of a crime group involved in several robbery hold up cases in Southern Negros Occ., was arrested by Cauayan PNP at Purok 4 in Brgy. Elijan Monday afternoon.

Cauayan Police Chief, Chief Insp. Ruben Pajarito, identified the suspect as Christian Baynosa Trinidad, “Alias Dodong”, 18 and resident of the purok in the town.

Trinidad was one of the robbery group members of Riching Villanueva who was arrested last March 1, 2017 in Bangga Aning in Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod City after policemen were tipped of his presence in the area.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod passed on its 2nd reading the ordinance which amended the anti-jaywalking provisions of the Bacolod City Traffic Code, during their regular session recently.

The ordinance is authored by Councilor Caesar Z. Distrito, Chairperson of the SP Committees on Laws and Ordinances, and Appropriation & Finance.

A housewife was held up at gunpoint by an unidentified person wearing a mask and who pretended to buy ice at her store in Hacienda Pandan 3 in Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City in Negros Occidental around 10:30 in the morning Monday.

Myrna Talidong Toledo, 53 and resident of the place reported the incident to Bago PNP around 6:30 p.m. of the same day.

The victim said the man approached her and at gunpoint she went inside her room and took the money amounting to P8,050.

The suspect told her “kwarta lang ang tuyo ko” (Money is just what I wanted).

The No. 3 top most wanted station level target drug personality and her runner were arrested in a drug bust in Purok San Roque, Block 64, Phase 6-B in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City Monday night.

Police Senior Inspector Ramil Bustamante of Police Station 10 identified the suspects as Erlinda Delfin, “Alias Linda”, 59 and her runner identified as Joemar Elardo, 23 “Alias Jomar” both of the place.

Both have surrendered to Police Station 10 during the last implementation of Double Barrel.

A man attending a fiesta celebration in Barangay Sanduyao in Guilhungan City in Negros Oriental was shot dead while on his way home Monday morning.

The victim was identified as Jerry Pancho, 34, married of Sitio Libas in Barangay Imelda also in Guilhungan.

He sustained gunshot wound on his chest and was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead-on-arrival.

Police authorities are investigating the incident to identify the suspect and the motive of the shooting.*(CMGarde)

Ceres Negros Fooball Club is in a do-or-die match against Tampines Rovers FC of Singapore as they are set to play at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore tonight.

For Group G, all these four teams can still claim the top of the table with Ceres FC with 8 points (2-2-1), Ha Noi FC also with 8 points (2-2-1), and Tampines Rovers with 6 points (2 wins and 3 loses) while Felda United eyeing for the best second place with 5 points (1-2-2).

The Bacolod City Anti-Drug Abuse Council during its regular meeting recently urged the support of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils in the anti-illegal drugs efforts of the city.

In a resolution, CADAC calls the attention of the BADACs to comply with the Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation Number 3 which seeks the support of BADACs to support law enforcement agencies in drug clearing and rehabilitation programs of drug surrenderers.
