The Philippines Football League (PFL) has approved the Ceres Negros Football Club’s request to make necessary adjustments on match schedules with the league, club team manager James Dinsay confirmed on Monday.

The following PFL adjusted schedules include the supposed home games at the Panaad Park and Stadium on May 13 between Ceres FC and Stallion Laguna FC was moved to later date on May 24 at 4PM while the May 17 was moved to June 7.

JSY Countertrade and Royal Star Trading will clash in Class B title of the 2017 Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Incorporated inter-Color Basketball Tournament on May 15 at 8:30PM.

During the semi-finals, JSY Countertrade escaped Organic Solutions with a final score of 53-52; while top seed Royal Star Trading handily beat Sweet Crystals Sugar, 94-55, at Po Hang gym of BTTHS.

JSY Countertrade was clinging to a 53-52 advantage with 23 seconds left when Edward Uy missed his shot underneath but he got the rebound and was fouled out. He first missed all his free throws.

Top contender Leoner Ynzon is leading the month of May qualifiers in the ongoing Tenpin Masters Challenge (TMC) Season Three at East Bowling Center, Lopue’s East Centre in Bacolod City.

Hitting an average of 223 pin falls, Ynzon knocked down a 2-set score of 1,338 pfs including a personal record single set highest output of 717 on his second try, May 2.

His other highest set score of 576 came in on his third try, May 4. He has a plus 15 handicap points per game.

A local block-time radio commentator here may be arrested anytime soon after facing two counts of libel by the secretary of Sanggunian Panglunsod.

The case is now with Regional Trial Court Branch 50 who has already forwarded the warrant of arrest against Franklin Villanueva to the warrant and subpoena unit of the Bacolod City Police Office, Atty. Vicente Petierre said.

Petierre filed the charges against Villanueva on Nov. 23 last year.

I rise on a point of defending my honor as a matter of personal privilege, and a collective privilege considering that Mr. Gamboa’s actuations went beyond the 4 corners of this august hall of the SP, which is supposed to be done on the floor by debating herein, thus disrespecting the tradition of the SP.

The two main arguments or defense raised by Councilor Distrito when I described his act in revising the 2014 E-Cigarette Ordinance as, “Dishonest, cheating and stealing from other people’s ideas and achievements and taking and grabbing credit from other people’s hard work”, were: 1.) OWNERSHIP 2.) LEGAL by citing the Intellectual Property Right Law and the Copyright Law.

Coca-Cola has again drawn flak from sugar industry stakeholders over its alleged “double-talk.”

Lawyer Emilio Yulo, spokesperson of the Sugar Alliance of the Philippines (SAP) said that “It is ironic for them to continue questioning the constitutionality of Sugar Order 3 when even before the Senate hearing, they already acknowledged publicly the validity of SO 3. In fact, right at the Senate hearing, they said they are withdrawing this case they lodged against the Sugar Regulatory Administration, Department of Agriculture and Bureau of Customs.”

About one kilo of suspected shabu was confiscated by Police Station 2 operatives in a drug bust in Purok Bangros, Barangay 1, Bacolod City around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Police Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, Police Station 2 chief said that the target person, Reynante Quebrar Villanueva, 47, was able to escape after engaging in a poseur-buyer policeman.

A buy bust operation Tuesday night netted a kilogram of suspected shabu with street value of P15 million.

Bacolod City Police Station 2 Chief Insp. Benedicto Villarias Jr. said the contraband was recovered from the house of 43-year-old Reynante Villanueva, the subject of the operation, in Barangay 1.

Murcia PNP authorities have arrested a drug suspect in Barangay Zone 1 in Murcia town, Negros Occ., Tuesday.

Senior Inspector Ronald Santillan, Murcia OIC PNP chief identified the suspect as Nelson Narciso Naranja, 57, of Hacienda Cristona, Barangay Blumentritt of the town.

Police confiscated from him three small sachets of suspected shabu including the buy bust item in exchange of P100 marked money.

Barangay Kagawad Ernesto Cepida of Barangay Zone 1 acted as witness in the proceeding.

A native of Tubod, Galas, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte was found dead in his rented house by his companions around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

La Carlota City PNP identified the victim as Adel Ogmen Maco, 39, temporarily residing in Blue Street, Canson Subdivision, Barangay 2 Poblacion, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.

There was no sign of struggle and injuries on the victim. Police authorities believe he died of natural death.

A motorcycle driver died when he lost control of his motorcycle and swerved to the sugarcane field along MH Del Pilar Street in Hinigaran and Isabela road in Barangay Aranda, Hinigaran around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Police identified the victim as Ronald Patla-onag Jacosalem, 39, single, resident of Sitio Feria, Barangay Candumarao, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.

The victim was driving his Rusi motorcycle from Hinigaran proper going home when he lost control.

An alleged drug suspect was shot dead in Locsin Street, Parola, Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental around 12: 10 a.m. yesterday, Wednesday, May 10.

Superintendent Arturo Fullero, San Carlos City OIC PNP chief identified the victim as Henry Libungfacil Favores, 42, resident of the place.

He was shot by unidentified suspect at the place and escaped.

Favores is a drug personality in the city and has surrendered to police after he was subjected to “Tokhang”.
