Negros Occidental HS/Kami Mga Hubin team is looking for a No.1 finish in the ongoing 5th Inter-School Alumni Bowlfest 2017 classification games at Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

In round 3, NOHS/KMH pinned down a total of 1,600 pin falls including its 3-game scores of 491-553-556.

Rodrigo “Essho” Garcia of NOHS/KMH scored 360 pfs and teammate Peter “Katoy” Deocadiz added a 2-game output of 238 as they went on to record its second 1,600 benchmark. The first one was registered in round 2 with 1,603.

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has authorized the National Transmission Corporation (TransCo) to collect an additional Feed-In Tariff Allowance (FIT-ALL) of P0.0590/kWh. A feed-in tariff is our government assurance extended to Renewable Energy firms and investors meant to encourage more investments in renewable energy. FIT-ALL is a universal charge being billed to all electricity consumers.

Three drug suspects were arrested in a buy bust in Purok Mabinuligon 2, Barangay Lopez Jaena, Sagay City, Negros Occ. around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Chief Inspector Roberto Mansueto, Sagay City PNP identified the suspects as Nestor Dingcong Talisic, 33, single, “Alyas Jay-R”; Franzel Aro Young, 27, married, ‘Alyas Nonoy”; and Hilbert Masibag Bautista, 29, single “Alyas Kokong,” all of Purok Mabinuligon, Barangay Lopez Jaena, Sagay City.

A stabbing duel between protagonists resulted in the death of one in Relocation Site, Barangay 21, Victorias City around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Superintendent Herman Garbosa, Victorias City PNP chief identified the victim as Norberto Kening “Alyas Wangyu”, 37, single, resident of the place.

He sustained multiple stab wounds in the body and was rushed to Ikaayong Lawas Foundation Incorporated but was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect was identified as Roberto Castello Aban, 59, married, also of the place.

The Proposed Schedule of Market Values for RPT of the City of Bacolod has been endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlungsod recently by the City Assessor after it was published in local dailies.

The Proposal was endorsed by Mayor Evelio Leonardia after it was published in local dailies, and reviewed by the Regional Director of the Department of Finance.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) of Bacolod City approved on first reading last August 15, 2017 the Proposed Ordinance Creating the Bacolod City Animal Welfare Council.

Authored by Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr., the Bacolod City Animal Welfare Council is tasked to recommend to the SP or to the Office of the City Mayor animal welfare policies and programs aimed to address animal basic needs and shall recommend the identification and establishment of the city dog pound, pet park and pet-friendly streets.

Bago City was awarded first place in the Most Improved LGU category by the National Competitiveness Council (NCC) during the unveiling of the Cities & Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) at the 5th Annual Regional Competitiveness Summit held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila.

CMCI is an annual ranking of Philippine cities and municipalities developed by the NCC through the Regional Competitiveness Committees (RCCs) with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development.

Pepsi-Cola executives hosted a dinner for the Sugar Alliance of the Philippines and Senator Migz Zubiri at Ipar’s Restaurant in Cebu City last Wednesday. Present were planters federations presidents Enrique D. Rojas (NFSP), Manuel Lamata III (Unifed), Francis de la Rama (Confed), Danilo Abelita (Panayfed) and Cornelio Toreja (Luzonfed). Also present were SRA chief Anna Rosario Paner and Board Members Hermie Serafica and Atty. Roland Beltran.*
