Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) continued its energization efforts to Purok Tapulanga, Brgy. Bagroy in Bago as part of its Sitio Electrification Program (SEP), having 29 household beneficiaries, on November 29, Wednesday.

The Sitio Electrification Program was led by District 6 Director Robert Javellana, together with Bago Field Office Area Manager Cherish Mae Millevo.

Meanwhile, Brgy. Bagroy Captain Guillermo Rafinian encouraged not only the (SEP) beneficiaries, but everyone in the community of Prk. Tapulanga to attend the energization ceremony.

A resident of Sitio Mantawigon, Barangay Macasilao, Calatrava town was reported missing around 3:00 a.m. Monday at the height of typhoon Agaton.

Police Chief Inspector John Joel Batusbatusan, Calatrava PNP OIC police chief identified the victim as Eric Palabrica Villarito, 27, single, resident of the place.

His father Jerry Salumag Villarito told police that his son was wearing red sleeveless black jersey and is about five feet in height.

The missing “habal-habal” driver who was reported missing in Iglamgam River, Sitio Lubi, Barangay Tadlong, Sagay City was found dead around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

The victim was identified by Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, Sagay PNP chief as Ronnie Belicario Soberano, 33, single, of Sitio Pinag-iwatan, Barangay Tadlong.

Police disclosed that the victim was reported missing around 1:10 p.m. Tuesday while trying to clean his motorcycle and his feet at the overflow when he accidentally fell to the river. Strong water current carried him away.

La Castellana Mayor Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan yesterday defended his father, former Mayor Alberto Aguilar Nicor Jr., who is facing three graft charges before the Sandiganbayan Third Division due to alleged anomalous issuance of mayor’s permits to himself and his wife back in 2013.

“It’s good faith on his part when he issued a mayor’s permit to his own business and that of my mother,” Mangilimutan said.

She also said, the hollow block business of her mother Noemi “was a business put up by the cooperative and funded by the provincial government.”
