The Ceres Negros FC left Philippines for Myanmar yesterday afternoon for the 2018 AFC Champions League Qualifiers against the home squad of Shan United FC today, 5:30PM (Philippine time) at the Thuwunna Stadium.

Despite having a short preparation for this match, team manager James Dinsay said that the management has huge faith in them that they may able to deliver the stuff expected from them. He further added that the club will support them in this quest.

The 10-year validity period of the Philippine passports took effect this month in compliance with Republic Act 10928, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)-Bacolod.

DFA-Bacolod Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Carolina Constantino said all applicants starting this year will enjoy a 10-year validity of their passports, while those 18-years old and below will still be issued with a 5-year validity passports.

“On the general, it is 10 years validity for same price, same booklet, taking from the instructions of President Rodrigo Duterte,” Constantino said.

The president of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) in the municipality of Moises Padilla has resigned.

This was confirmed by Mark Garcia to Radyo Bandera-Bacolod yesterday.

Garcia said he resigned from his post as barangay captain of Brgy. 1, Moises Padilla.

Garcia is the brother of Vice Mayor Ella Garcia-Yulo.

Citing stress at work aggravating an existing ailment, he said he filed his letter of resignation to office of Mayor Magdaleno Peña last December 22 and has confirmed that the Mayor has already signed and approved it.

Some forty-four police commissioned officers, and three (3) police non-commissioned officers in Western Visayas were given by Police Chief Supt. Cesar Hawthorne Binag, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 6 at the flag ceremony on January 15 at Camp Delgado, Iloilo City.

From Negros Occidental the awardees were PChief Insp. Joefer Cabural, Chief of Police, Bago Police Station; and PChief Insp. Robert Mansueto, Chief of Police, Sagay Police Station.

A construction worker was electrocuted when he touched an open wire at a Senior High School which was under construction around 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Barangay General Luna, Sagay City.

Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, Sagay PNP chief identified the victim as Joemarie Argel Colasisang, 32, single, of Crossing F. I, Barangay Cabahug, Cadiz City.

He was rushed to Lopez District Planter Foundation Hospit but was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Rebecca Joje Marquez.

Two brothers were arrested in a drug bust in Purok Paglaum, Barangay Alicante, EB Magalona around 11:45 a.m. Sunday.

Police Senior Inspector Rhojn Darell Nigos, OIC police chief of EB Magalona identified the suspects as Joemar Zamora De La Rama, 45, married, and his brother Donovan, 22, single, both of the place.

Confiscated from them were three heat-sealed suspected shabu including the buy bust item in exchange of P500 marked money and two disposable lighters.

The confiscated shabu had a market value of P1, 500.

Three persons were killed in separate traffic accidents in Himamaylan City and Bago City on Saturday; and in Moises Padilla on Friday.

Police identified the victims as Rodolfo Boga Cangayda, 26, of Ilog town in Negros Occidental; Vicente Bebar Dizon, 43, married, of Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Ma-ao, Bago and Randy Belarga Martinez, 22, single, driver of motorcycle in Moises Padilla.

Police Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez, Jr., Himamaylan PNP chief said that incident happened at Bangga 3C, Barangay IV, Himamaylan 8:20 p.m. Saturday.

Allyn Dignadice was not to deprive casuals and job-orders employees of benefits, but for the organizing entity which is the BCGEU to account for its financial, outcome and accomplishment using said amount.

Mr. Isidro Castillo alias Gesnar allegedly former Secretary of Larangang Guerilla 2, and identified as member of Regional Urban White Area Committee (RUWAC) under Religious Sector and Spokesperson of Negros Farmers Sugarcane Workers (NFSW), vehemently denied the accusation against him by the authorities that he was part of the ambush that killed army Lt. Fulgencio in March 7, 2010.
