LESSON LEARNED IN LIFE - There's tremendous reasons that a lot of us are kind, a trait that is always perceived to be beneficial to our personality. Starting February 2018 the Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA) will add P13.00 to the billing of its consumers, as it is adjusting the meter repair and maintenance fee (MRMF) from P2 to P15 per month effective February 2018 billing.
The adjustment in the MRMF, now named service connection maintenance fee (SCMF), was approved by the Baciwa Board per Board Resolution No. 009, dated January 12.

A motorcycle driver was killed when he bumped a parked Mitsubishi cargo truck along the highway in Purok Ramos, Barangay Tabunan, Bago City around 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
Police Chief Inspector Joeffer Cabural, Bago PNP chief identified the victim as Ronel Francisco Aspan, 46, married, of Purok Dulao Proper, Barangay Dulao, Bago. He was driving his Motorstar motorcycle running from west to east when he bumped the rear portion of the cargo truck parked along the shoulder of the highway in the area.
The combined operation of Amlan PNP and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Oriental resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect around 3:25 p.m. Sunday at Sitio Buswang, Barangay Bio-os, Amlan town, Negros Oriental.
The suspect was identified by Senior Inspector Michael Rubia of Amlan PNP as Elbert Dayot Marimat, 31, of Barangay Polo, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.
Confiscated from the suspect were two plastic sachets of suspected shabu including the buy bust item in exchange for P500 marked money and one black cellphone.
A drug suspect was arrested in a buy bust operation at Purok 3M’s, Barangay Poblacion, Toboso town, Negros Occ. around 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21.
The Station Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Chief Inspector Ariel Pico, Toboso PNP chief identified the suspect as Randy Abas De La Torre, 37, single, resident of the place.
Police confiscated from him two rectangular heat-sealed suspected shabu including the buy bust item in exchange for P300 marked money.
Police also recovered ten pieces P100 bills or P1, 000 allegedly proceeds in selling the prohibited drug.
A drunken man who fell off a bamboo bridge he was crossing Saturday night was found dead 8:00 a.m. Sunday, in Sitio Macasayang, Barangay Mabini, Cadiz City.

Pueblo Sta. Maria is a subdivision owned by former Provincial Board Member “Bomber” Zayco’s wife, who is related to Lopez family. It is located just a few meters from Crossing Cadiz.
