50 Estefania fathers undergo parenthood seminar
A total of 50 fathers from Barangay Estefania in Bacolod City attended a seminar on responsible parenthood held at the barangay covered court in December 6.

The seminar dubbed “KATROPA,” which stands for “Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya,” was spearheaded by the City Population Office (CPO), in partnership with the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) Office and Violence Against Women Council (VAWC).
The seminar tackled the different responsibilities and obligations of a father towards his family. The program introduced the heads of the family to different activities like how to take care of their children, and how to assist partner in their pregnancy stage.
CPO population program worker Benybeth Agbones talked about responsible parenting, CPO population program officer John Christopher Bais discussed about family planning, while VAWC Desk Officer SPO4 Arlyn Torrendon discussed about VAWC.
CPO head Ernie Asoy told the fathers that “it is important to have an open relationship with your partner.”
Executive Assistant Samuel Montoyo represented Mayor Evelio Leonardia at the event.
