2 Nabbed with Firearms in Cadiz City

Two Cadiz City residents were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms in Barangay Luna and Barangay Zone 4.

Superintendent Edel Jose Manzano, Cadiz City POIC police chief identified the suspects as Rafael Prudente Baylosis, 28, single, of Hacienda Caridad 3 in Barangay Luna.

He was arrested about 1:45 a.m. Sunday while drunk and brandishing a homemade .38 caliber firearm with one live bullet at Crossing Valderama in the barangay.

He was arrested and brought to Cadiz City PNP Headquarters and detained.

In another incident, police COMPACT personnel with Senior Police Officer 1 Arnold Tolentino arrested around 3:00 a.m. Sunday a suspect at Purok Hitalon in Barangay Zone 4.

Manzano identified the suspect as Melchor Panoy Lobo, 27, married, of Cadiz Heights, Barangay Tinampaan, Cadiz City.

He yielded one improvised 12-gauge shotgun locally know as “sulpak”.

The suspects were charged with violation of RA 10591 in Court.*
