Pharma Company Hands Over GSK Orange Center for Health at GK Sinigayan Village in Sagay
Glaxo Smith Kline GSK Philippines General Manager Lyn Baxter handed over 1 unit GSK Orange Health Center complete with medical equipment in partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK) and the local government of Sagay aim to help boost the health status of the community.
Aside from the health center facility, GSK also donated admission table and chairs, bed for delivery, medicine cabinets with medicines and medical paraphernalia, wash basin, nebulizer, BP apparatus and blood sugar test apparatus, among others.

Gawad Kalinga Sinigayan Village, a small community in Brgy. Old Sagay with 106 families is the recipient of GSK Foundation Health program.
Ms. Baxter said “GSK is humbled and inspired by the resiliency, strength and courage of Filipino bayanihan spirit.” The health center is GSK’s way of helping in the continuing recovery effort after Typhoon Yolanda and in the delivery of basic health services to the community.
GK Founder Tony “Tito Tony” Meloto in his message said “our presence should be felt in the lives of the disadvantaged communities.” He said he is grateful for the generous partnership with GSK. “May our friendship and partnership continue to be sustained,” he further added.
Sagay City Mayor Alfredo D. Marañon III expressed his thanks to Gawad Kalinga and GSK for their untiring contribution to community development.
GK Sinigayan Kapitbahayan President Melanie Magno also expressed her deep gratitude in behalf of the community members “for this very good health facility that will benefit all of us here. Madamo gid nga salamat.”*
