Bacolaodiat choreographers undergo workshop, Chopsticks Alley opens for tenants
Choreographers and group leaders of the final entries for the Bacolaodiat Festival Lantern Street Dance Competition underwent a workshop conducted by choreographer Rudy Reveche and facilitated by the parade head, Kim Villaluna, and Bacolaodiat Festival event management team Monday (December 11) at the Bacolaodiat Festival office.
BACOLAODIAT FESTIVAL. Choreographer Rudy Reveche conducted a workshop to the choreographers and group leaders of the official entries for the 13th Bacolaodiat Festival Lantern Street Dance Competition set February 15 to 18 at the Bacolaodiat office on December 11.*
There will be ten official entries, eight were chosen after a thorough screening Saturday (December 10) at the Yong Tho Taoist Temple and two are runners-up in last year’s competition which qualify them for this year.
The groups are Jujaju, Alijinios, CHMSC-Alijis, One Team One Goal, Double J Full Force, BMD, Night Rhythm, Brgy 19, Majestic Dreamers, and Rustillans.
The participants will dance to the official Bacolaodiat music on February 16 for the Lantern Street Dance and on February 18 for the Lantern Dance as part of the official events of the 13th Bacolaodiat Festival set on February 15 to 18, 2018 with the theme, “A Family Legacy of Loyalty and Honor”.
The Chopsticks Alley is now open for registration for interested food tenants that cater Chinese and non-Chinese cuisines for the four-day event.
The registration for the Fu Dog and Chinese Lantern Installation Art Contest is still ongoing.
