91.9 Love Radio, who has been encouraging all sectors in the community to take part at the outreach, has indulged one of the media publication in the city to contribute.
Over the years, Love for Kids has been working hard to convince families to eat right following the Go, Glow, and Grow food groups. The team makes sure that this is being communicated properly; aiming for children in the communities they choose to be more knowledgeable on how to take care of their health.
The Love for Kids mission also aim to influence barangays to locally reach out to their families in promoting good health through proper nutrition especially to preschool children. The Go, Glow and Grow food groups, a banner widely known as a guide for correct food intake, is a nutrition curriculum aiming at healthy eating along with the importance of hand washing before and after eating.
The advocacy is to teach young children in the chosen communities on how to identify the healthy food groups and to let them understand the benefits and effects of eating a nutritious and healthy meal. This also enables parents and family members to influence each other at promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Jose Francisco Muñoz, 91.9 Love Radio Station Manager said, the consistent advocacy has influenced thousands of children in Negros Occidental to care for their bodies. The station aims to promote more activities in regard to proper nutrition and cleanliness by the next year with participations from different sectors around the province.
The event was graced with entertainment through the participation of DJ’s Kristin Dera, Matthew Dancer, Rico Panyero, Sexy Terry, Tommy Tambay, and Totoy Bato. This was also made possible with 105.5 Easy Rock along with the undying support in the advocacy of promoting good health and nutrition with Negros Daily Bulletin.*
