Firearms, ammos seized in raid
Several firearms and ammunitions were confiscated in two separate raids in Tanjay City and Amlan town in Negros Oriental Wednesday.
Tanjay PNP served a search warrant to Ricardo Santurina, Jr., 37, “Alyas Johnny” at his residence in Sitio Bolon, Barangay Sta. Cruz Nuevo, Tanjay around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Police operatives who served the warrant issued by Judge Winston Villegas, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 43, Dumaguete City, dated Dec. 11, 2017 was led by Inspector Rafael Lorenz Serion along with Regional Public Safety Company-7 under the supervision of Superintendent Frankie Lugo.
Confiscated from Santurina were Colt automatic .45 pistol with serial number 274598; one rifle grenade with serial number AVA-0057-85; one magazine of .45 caliber and five live bullets of the same caliber.
In Amlan, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Negros Oriental and Amlan PNP led by Senior Inspector Michael Rubia and Special Operation Group of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office led by Senior Inspector Von Alegria served the search warrant to Cresenciano Quisel, 62, of Barangay Silab, Amlan around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Judge Winston Villegas of RTC 43 in Dumaguete City issued the search warrant.
Confiscated from Quisel were one Colt .45 pistol, government model without serial number; eleven (11) bullets of .45 caliber; one live .50 caliber bullet; one magazine for .45 caliber; one unit of unknown caliber pistol with magazine; eleven (11) live bullets of 5.56mm; one live bullet of shotgun; one holster and one body bag.
The two suspects are detained and charged with violation of RA 10591.*
