Ceres FC Chairman Shares Success to Fans, Families

Following Ceres Negros FC’s successful run in 2017, club chairman Leo Rey Yanson shared success and gratitude to their fans, Ultras Ceres as well as in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.

“Our success is also your success. We find inspiration in your support,” Yanson said, adding, that this is an opportunity to thank those who have in one way or another supported them in their 2017 campaign.

Yanson described PFL was tough on everyone involved but, with the support of the fans, they able to win the final game. “We cannot ask for a better way to end the year than having the first ever PFL Finals at Panaad. Throughout the year, the Local Organizing Committee has pulled out all the stops in ensuring that the pitch is well-maintained and every match runs smoothly down to the small details,” he said.

The club official also shared that there were shining moments and heartbreaks along the way but, felt grateful having fantastic supporters behind them – whether playing at home or away.

““Our surprising run in the AFC Cup ASEAN zonal championship and eventually to the AFC inter-zone semifinals was the year where the club established many firsts. With matches played abroad, we carried the country’s pride and colors. It was part of the mission of the club to represent the city, the province and the country in the international stage,” he added.

Looking at 2018, Yanson said it will be a big challenge that awaits the team.*
