Bones and Body Found
Police probers in Kabankaln City are investigating and toying to determine the identity of skeletal remains found inside a sugarcane plantation in Brgy. Hilamunan in that city last January 28, Thursday.
Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) records revealed that the human bones were unearthed in Hacienda San Lucas of the said barangay and local police probers were alerted by Rolando Baucaya regarding its presence.
PSupt. Calixto Mabugat, police chief said the bones were that of a still unidentified male adult wearing an orange colored shorts and black shirt when discovered.
SPO2 Dominador Apostol exhumed the bones and buried these at the Kabankalan City Public Cemetery after examination by the city’s public health officer.
Over in Escalante City, Alfredo Mesa, 46, was found dead by his neighbor alias Tiboy Galle inside his house in Sitio Cagay 2 in Brgy. Buenavista.
PCInsp. Santiago Rapiz, police chief said Mesa sustained injuries on the head resulting to his death.
He added that police probers are conducting further investigation to determine if there was foul play in Mesa ‘s death.
PSSupt. Manuel Felix, NOPPO director ordered both Mabugat and Rapiz to submit their progress report to NOPPO relative to the twin incidents in their respective localities, reports said.*
