University of St. La Salle men and women volleyball teams are going to participate in the National Volleyball Invitational Championship on March 20-27, 2010 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila.

But Roger. A. Banzuela, former Philippine Volleyball Federation president said it is also open to those interested schools and clubs to join as the way the PVF is celebrating the volleyball Centennial Year in 2010.

The tournament will be a week-long showcase of spectacular volleyball actions from various teams nationwide.

The champion will receive Php 100, 000.00 with Php 50,000. 000 for 1st runner-up; and Php 25, 000.00 for 2nd runner-up. An entry fee of Php 10,000.00 will be charge from each participating team.

USLS who represent Western Visayas in the national Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) is the defending champion for 5 consecutive years after its revival held in Zamboanga City. They won the University Games last 2008 but lost it last year when the tournament was held at Central Philippines University in Iloilo City. They were consistent team in the event joining the Shakeys Battle of Champions it was held every year.*
