Bodies Fished Out of Bredco Shore
Two bodies were fished out of Bredco Port, early yesterday morning by members of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).
In a special report submitted by Police Officers Jose Roy Militante, Meller Dionio and Jonathan Guillena who conducted the ocular investigation stated that the bodies were recovered inside a colored red Mitsubishi Pajero bearing plate number FFC-860. It was found around 2AM, yesterday.
Investigation also disclosed that the vehicle was observed parked beside the Bredco Port a day earlier while its engine was on standby with its nose facing the shore and later, the vehicle was said to have been in motion and accidentally fell into the sea.
Retrieval operation conducted by the Bacolod Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Amity Volunteer Fire Brigade Rescue Personnel and the Philippine Coast Guard recovered the bodies of Ramon Vicente, 57, of Ayala North Point in Talisay City and that of Gelah Sunico, a 4th year nursing student at Riverside College in Bacolod City who was a resident of Brgy. Busay, Bago City.
Police report said the bodies were taken by medical personnel and brought to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH).
Vicente’s things were turned-over to his wife in the presence of Atty Tan of the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Marty Go of ABS-CBN and other family members. The bodies were subjected for autopsy to determine the cause of their death. Further investigation is ongoing.* (RRM)
