‘Pusher’, 4 ‘Users’ Collared in Drug Raid
An alleged illegal drug peddler and four other suspected users were arrested in a drug raid yesterday at Brgy. 2 by operatives of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAID-SOTG) of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).
PSupt. Pedrito Escarilla, Assistant Task Force Commander with PInsp. Joemarie Occeño apprehended 30-year old Jonel Bonza alias Orig inside his house at Purok Sigay at about 11:00 a.m., yesterday.
The police operation was effected through a search warrant issued by Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Branch 3 Judge Napoleon S. Diamante for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the comprehensive dangerous drugs act of 2002.
Reports said that Bonza voluntarily surrendered 6 pieces of elongated plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a small plastic sachet containing the same, 3 disposable lighters and P1,000 believed to be proceeds in the illegal sale of shabu.
Also arrested and caught sniffing shabu near Bonza’s house were: Rameses Santil-lan, 22, of Purok Marapara, Brgy. Bata; Daddy Boy Oberes, 27, of Hacienda San Francisco in Silay City; Jomer Hinlo, 34, of Charito Heights Subdivision in Brgy. Granada and a 16-year-old boy.
The operatives were able to seize 3 sliced aluminum foils; 2 disposable lighters with improvised torch and 2 empty plastic sachets used during their pot session on top of the table.
They are now presently detained at the lock up cell of CAID-SOTG and will be facing criminal charges in court.*
