Media Forum on VM Candidates Held

Thw 4th Bishop Media Forum for the Vice Mayoralty Candidates in Bacolod City was held at the West Negros University Covered Court where hundreds of political supporters from various groups gathered to cheer their respective candidates.

The media forum was sponsored by the Bacolod Diocesan Commission on Social Communications and hosted by West Negros University.

There were 4 candidates vying for the Vice Mayoralty post namely: Incumbent Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Say-son, SPM Wilson Gamboa Jr., Engr. Johram Alama and Atty. Ana Marie Palermo.

Each of the candidates were given time to present their respective platforms of government to the people. A question and answer portion was also alloted by the media forum that has a panel coming from members of the media and other sectors.

Various political groups and supporters as well as students who attended the activity. It was also a chance for the candidates to present themselves to the people and help them choose wisely.

The candidates were also tested of their promptness to answer questions from members of the panel in the said activity.

Incumbent Vice Mayor Sayson said that if given a fresh mandate on the 2010 polls, he will be able to continue the vision of uniting members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod despite political colors.

Councilor Wilson Gamboa Jr. was apparently blazing on fire as he told the people during said forum that he was prompted to run for the Vice Mayoralty post because of certain irregularities that he had observed and experienced. Kapatiran bet Engr. Johram Alama, a fresh face in the roster of Bacolod politics, says he is for buiding the City with the foundations of good moral values, fear of God and being pro-people.

Atty. Ana Marie Palermo is the only female candidate among the four. She presented herself as an alternative choice for the people as she narrated what she had done when she was City Councilor and the achievements of having Bacolod as a Child Friendly City during her term.
