Fed up with being victims of extortion and revolutionary taxation, the people of Brgy. Quintin Remo, Moises Padilla in south Negros Occidental have tipped the military authorities regarding the extortion activity perpetrated in their area. Thus, the arrest of Vicente Mission y Estorco, 45 years old,married, a resident of Sitio Bunga, Brgy. Quintin Remo the other day by the patrolling team led by SSgt Labita of the 1st Scout Ranger Battalion.

According to Major Nathaniel Villasor, Civil Military Operations (CMO) Officer of 303rd Infantry Brigade, the people of said place no longer support the cause of the CPP/NPA.

In the report of Lt. Col. Antonio Nafarete, Battalion Commander of Scout Rangers Battalion, Mission has an existing warrant of arrest with criminal case number 3504 for robbery in band.
