PRO6 resumes war vs. illegal drugs

The Police Regional office (PRO) 6 has re-enforced the Oplan Tokhang to resume the war against illegal drugs of the PNP. Hence, for the period December 5, 2017 to February 5, 2018, there were

187 individuals surrendered/appeared.

PSupt. Gilbert Gorero, Chief, Regional Public Information office, reports the breakdown of apprehension: Aklan - 2; Antique - 44; Capiz - 8; Guimaras - 2; Iloilo Province - 2; Iloilo City - 1; Bacolod - 66; and Negros Occidental - 62.

Meanwhile, Western Visayas initiated police operations (Project HVT/LVT) led to the arrest of 297 individuals: Aklan - 4; Antique -11; Capiz - 10; Guimaras -1; Iloilo - 15; Iloilo City - 37; Negros Occidental - 93; and 126 from Bacolod City.

From this accomplishment, the biggest was more or less a kilo of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with estimated market value of P 18 million that was seized from suspected drug couriers Jose Alberto Pinaga and Maebelle Belmonte at Dumangas Port on January 28, 2018 and other one was the 593.532 grams of suspected “shabu”; Php24,960.00 cash and other drug paraphernalia were seized by police operatives from Christian Unabia in a drug bust at Sitio Juan-ong, Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on January 23, 2018.
